Sleeves & Casings
Sleeves and casings are specified in different ways. A shrink sleeve is designed around your container, a board sleeve around your pack, and a casing around your product and process. We start by establishing which one you need.
Typical formats
- Shrink sleeves
- Stretch and tubular sleeves
- Board sleeves
- Tamper-evident bands
- Food-processing casings (e.g. cellulose, fibrous, collagen, plastic)
Typical structures
- PET-G
- OPS
- PE / PO
- Folding boxboard
- Cellulose, fibrous, collagen and polyamide casings
To assess your requirement we need
- 01Sleeve or casing type
- 02For sleeves: container drawing or sample, lay-flat width and cut length
- 03For casings: type, calibre (mm) and supply form
- 04Application equipment or process
- 05Artwork, if printed
- 06Quantity
Don’t have all of this? Send what you have and we’ll ask for the rest.
Before we propose an alternative
What we check before proposing an alternative.
- 01Artwork has to be distorted to allow for shrink. We work to your container geometry.
- 02Sleeve material affects how the container is recycled, so we check it against your recycling targets.
- 03Casings are specified by calibre and process (cooking, smoking, drying). We confirm both with the manufacturer before sampling.
